POST 9: A SUBJECT I'VE ENJOYED STUDYING THIS SEMESTER

 

The subject I’ve most enjoyed this semester has been Taller III no doubt. I could have said morphology because it was very entertaining, but Professor Urrutia's behavior during the state of mobilization in which we find ourselves has been too erratic and scoundrel, so I totally ruled it out. I like a lot this subject because it’s very enjoyable with all the errands I have done, and with the use of programs such as AutoCAD and SketchUp it has become more comfortable the drawing. Before the use of programs, we had to drawing with drawing pens, which was very difficult to achieve perfectly because there was always some error due to the ink, so now it's a matter of erasing and moving on. The last work that I did was an isometric of the Torre Telefonica, which was so difficult because this drawing only had to be done by me. In total, it took me about 15 working hours, so when it was delivered it was very satisfactory and I managed to get a 6 with my group, so we were very happy. Now I am focused on the coming weeks to finally close Taller.

POST 8: FC BARCELONA

I met and started watching football as such in 2008, watching the games of the team that I have been since I was a baby, ''Universidad Católica''. In that year, thanks to the fact that I had the opportunity to watch more channels, I met Pep Guardiola's FC Barcelona and I was amazed at the quality of that team and their way of playing. That team is by far the best I've seen with my eyes, added to the fact that a certain Lionel Messi was also in that squad, I don't know if you know him. From that precise moment I loved Barca and I never missed a game (as long as I wasn't at school, which sometimes coincided with the schedules).

It was already the year 2011 and the club signed Alexis Sanchez who at that time was a sensation in Chile. Faced with this news, in Chile they begin to show the Barcelona matches on national channels, which for me was the best thing in the world, for which reason I never missed the matches. Years passed, finally Alexis left Barcelona in 2014 and I stopped watching as much football as before because my mind was on other things.

In 2019 I went back to see Barcelona matches, but unfortunately it was just when the club's sports crisis began as a result of the defeat against Liverpool in the semifinals of the Champions League.

From there my feeling for the club grew more and more until today, when I can consider myself a fan and supporter of FC Barcelona, without missing any game or any news related to the club as long as I was there loving the way they play. football plus the values that the club has as a fundamental pillar.

POST 7: AN EXPERT ON MY FIELD

 

I'm not going to lie to you, the truth is that I still don't have a favorite architecture character, but I do feel great admiration for the work that the architect Zaha Hadid did at the time.

Zaha Hadid was born in Baghdad on October 31, 1950. She was a British-Iraqi architect, whose main focus was on contemporary architecture.

She is one of the main architects of the 21st century, due to the impact her art has had on the world, with outstanding works such as the BMW Center (Leipzig, Germany), Pabellon Puente (Zaragoza, Spain), Guangzhou Opera House (Guangzhou, China), London Aquatics Center (London, England), Nanjing International Youth Cultural Center (Nanjing, China) and a host of other renowned projects.

In 1979 she founded the Zaha Hadid Architects group in London, which today maintains the style she used. She died on March 31, 2016, in Miami due to a heart attack.

I really like her because her art and style of architecture is very similar to the style that I plan to do when I have the degree of architecture. That contemporary style, with the excellent use of white on the covers, added to the use of curves that has been lost so much in recent decades.

POST 6: BEST CONCERT I'VE HAD

The best concert (and the only) I've ever been to was the Super Smash at the Movistar Arena like one month ago.

It was a nice experience for me because first at all, it was the first concert in all my life, so I had a lot of expectations that finally ended very well.

That concert was really a type of festival where were more of twenty national urban artists so the experience in the moment was so intense.

The main artists that I wanted to see and enjoy were Pablo Chill-e, Cris Mj, Pailita, Standly and Polimá Westcoast, who are my favorites artists today.

All these artists/rappers are part of the new generation of artists that are emerging in Chile, and even sounding internationally around the world with songs of more than 100 million of streamings only in Spotify.

That day was very special for me, because I really enjoyed the music, the atmosphere, singing very loud every song, and all this that I have spoken, beside my girlfriend<3

POST 5: CHESS

In the last month I have been playing a lot of chess. I played it for first time when I was a kid because my dad taught me so since that moment I liked it, but no one of my family knew how to play this game so I never took a real interest in continuing to play. 

Two months ago, my cousin Moises learned how to play chess, so we started to play more frequently. I taught him to play more well, teaching him some movements, and teaching him through practice really, which is how one really learns in all things in life. A week ago, we were playing 3 hours and a half a game, which we finished at 2 am because it was really really hard for both of us, where I almost lost the game because I was very sleepy. 

Chess is a very entertaining and interesting game, interesting because one practices the mind in terms of tactics, strategies and plan to perform additions even on a day-to-day basis. For all these things I believe that all people should have knowledge of this sport and see the background it has and how useful it is.

POST 4: A PHOTOGRAPH YOU LIKE

This photo was taken by me a few months ago. It shows a place where it's possible to see the sea, the beach, and the apartment where I stayed those days. It is not just the views that there where, is more about the moment when I took that picture. 

It was a moment of reflection, self-knowledge and meditation. This day I was with my cousins in the forest too, where we walk a lot of hours, we got to know a lot of places and we talked a lot about the universe, people and psychology. Topics we talk about frequently in our day to day. I really like these moments that one can have, knowing, traveling, acquiring knowledge, which is very nourishing mentally. 

So, I think that each person should dedicate some time to themselves to get to know themselves in depth and delve into those internal problems that we often want to omit.

 

POST 3: MY FAVORITE MOVIE

 

My favorite movie is Interstellar. I like it a lot that movie for how show through audiovisual about the universe, the quantum physics and the feeling of love, which is very important in everyone of us. I have always liked the astronomy, how the universe works so that movie impressed me a lot in terms of my desire to acquire knowledge of physics.

The kind of movies that I like it, are movies of a huge quality, either with good directors, actors, and obviously, a good cinematography.

Some of my other favorite movies are Scarface (I love that movie), Breaking Bad (that isn’t a movie but the same), The Aviator, Inception, to say the main.

The most recent movie I saw was Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, that is my second time I see it. That movie is very deep in terms of content, it is also an interactive movie so I recommend it.
